Frequently Asked Questions
-
Your first session is a gentle, collaborative time for us to get to know you (or your family). We’ll review your intake forms, discuss what brings you to NeuroLilly, explore your goals, and answer any questions you have. Our priority is creating a safe, supportive space where you feel heard and respected.
-
The length of therapy is highly individual and depends on your unique needs and goals. Some clients benefit from short-term support focused on a specific issue, while others engage in longer-term work for deeper healing and personal growth. We offer flexible scheduling — weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly — and regularly review progress together.
-
Play Therapy is a highly effective, evidence-based approach that allows children (typically ages 3–12) to express their emotions, process experiences, and develop coping skills through the natural language of play. It supports emotional regulation, communication, problem-solving, and healing in a gentle, developmentally appropriate way.

Our Policy
We kindly request at least 24 hours’ advance notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Because we reserve that appointment time exclusively for you, the following applies:
First No-Show or Late Cancellation: Waived (no charge) – We recognize that adjusting to a new schedule can take time.
Second No-Show or Late Cancellation: 50% of the session fee
Third and subsequent No-Shows or Late Cancellations (within 24 hours): Full session fee
Repeated missed appointments or late cancellations not only disrupt your own progress but may also prevent another individual or family in need from accessing care in that time slot. We are committed to supporting consistent engagement so that everyone can benefit from the healing opportunities available.
A credit card is required to be kept on file for your convenience and to support this policy. We utilize secure, HIPAA-compliant software (TherapyNotes) to protect your information.
